Wedding Ceremony - Santa Barbara, CA
Valerie was such an incredible choice for my ceremony music. She was very organized and worked seamlessly with my DJ who she coordinated with leading up to the ceremony and day-of. Not only did she have a wide backlist of wedding music to choose from, she learned two completely new songs for my wedding (Love is a Wild Thing by Kacey Musgraves and Opalite by Taylor Swift). When she was unsure if her rendition of one of the songs fit my expectations, she even shared a clip with me a week prior and offered a few ideas to change the mood of it if needed. She was even great when my 5-year-old wandered up and tried to play her keyboard during the ceremony (iykyk) and kept him from playing an unplanned solo. She was all around professional, in control, and needed minimal input from me to create the ceremony of my dreams, plus she is a pleasure to work with. Hire her for all your events!

We could not have asked for a better band than Val Chillmer for our wedding. From the start, it was clear they perfectly understood the 70s, retro, groovy, funky vibe we envisioned. They were not just background music—they set the tone for the entire night. A huge part of that was Valerie, the front woman, who truly brought our vision to life. She was the one who suggested having her full band play our wedding, and it ended up being one of the best decisions we made. I genuinely enjoyed connecting with her throughout the process; she was thoughtful, collaborative, and incredibly attentive to detail. She made sure the band learned all of our special song requests, which made the night feel personal and intentional. So many guests raved about the music afterward.
